📖 About KAS International Scholarship
Since 1970, the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung has been awarding scholarships to international students from around the world. The program is designed for students and graduates who:
- Have already acquired a university degree.
- Intend to complete postgraduate, master’s, or doctoral studies, or undertake a research stay of at least four semesters at a German university.
The scholarships are funded by the German Federal Foreign Office and aim to support international students and PhD candidates planning to begin or continue their studies at a German university.

Financial Support

- Health insurance subsidy: Up to €120 per month.
- Family allowance: €276 if your spouse resides in Germany for more than three months.
- Child allowance: €250 per child (with proper documentation).
- Research travel grants abroad (excluding conference visits).
- Partial reimbursement of university tuition fees: Up to €750 per semester in exceptional cases.
✅ Eligibility Criteria
KAS is looking for graduates and PhD candidates who:
- Have a university degree with above-average academic performance.
- Possess good knowledge of the German language.
- Are actively engaged in voluntary work.
- Plan to study a minimum of four semesters at a German university.
- Support democracy, rule of law, and human rights.
Mandatory Requirements
- German Language Proficiency: Minimum B2 level, demonstrated by a Goethe-Institut certificate or equivalent.
- Master’s Applicants: Must intend to enroll in a four-semester MA program at a German university.
- Bachelor’s Applicants: Must have successfully completed at least two semesters of a BA program at a German university.
