The South African Reserve Bank (SARB) is offering the Information Technology Internship (Grow-IT) program for young South Africans. This internship is designed to address the current and future skills needs of SARB’s Business Solutions and Technology Department (BSTD). It supports departmental strategy and workforce planning, including capacity and capability building, succession planning, and developing future talent within the department.

To be considered for this internship, candidates must:

  • Hold one of the following qualifications:
    • National Diploma in IT (NQF 6)
    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or IT, with exposure to artificial intelligence (AI) and data engineering
    • BTech degree in Computer Science Engineering, AI and Machine Learning, or Data Science (NQF 7)
  • Be a South African citizen
  • Be between the ages of 18 and 35 years
  • Be curious, self-motivated, and innovative
