The International Journalists’ Programmes (IJP) is now accepting applications for the Ernst Cramer & Teddy Kollek Fellowships for Israeli journalists in Germany. This prestigious opportunity aims to strengthen German-Israeli relations through professional journalistic exchange.

🌍 About the Fellowship

This initiative is organized in cooperation with governmental institutions, foundations, and sponsors in both Germany and Israel. The fellowship is also open to German journalists seeking a two-month professional residency in Israel.

• The program is part of the Middle East Fellowship of the IJP.
• It honors the late journalist Ernst Cramer and the former mayor of Jerusalem, Teddy Kollek, for their lifelong dedication to fostering German-Israeli relations.

💰 Benefits

Each fellow will receive:

• A grant of €5,000, intended to cover a significant portion of travel costs, board, and lodging expenses.
• Fellows are expected to contribute partially to their costs.
• Note: No additional salary is provided for the journalist’s work on location.

✅ Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the fellowship, applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Be Israeli journalists aged 21 to 37.
• Work as regular employees, trainees, or editors for Israeli or Arab media.
• At least two candidates from Germany and two from Israel will be selected.

2. A letter of motivation.
3. A journalistic appraisal written by the head of department or editor-in-chief. This letter should:
