This initiative is organized in cooperation with governmental institutions, foundations, and sponsors in both Germany and Israel. The fellowship is also open to German journalists seeking a two-month professional residency in Israel.

To qualify for the fellowship, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Be Israeli journalists aged 21 to 37.
- Work as regular employees, trainees, or editors for Israeli or Arab media.
- At least two candidates from Germany and two from Israel will be selected.
