🌟 About Forte Establishment Grant Program

The Forte Establishment Grant Programme is a competitive research funding opportunity designed to support the skills development, independence, and mobility of junior researchers. The programme targets early-career researchers conducting research within health, working life, and welfare, with a strong emphasis on scientific excellence, societal relevance, and the development of an independent academic career.

✅ Forte Establishment Grant Program Requirements

PhD and Career Age

• The grant can be applied for up to three years after completing your doctoral degree.
• Eligibility period: Doctoral degree awarded between 19 March 2023 and 19 March 2026.
• If you have been unable to conduct research for extended periods, you can apply for an exemption by invoking deductible time. Forte may request a certificate to prove the reason for the stated absence.

Activity Level

• You must have an activity level in the project of at least 50% of full-time.
• You must also be paid to the same extent as your activity level.
• Applications with an activity rate below 50% will be rejected.

Employment

• The project can be carried out at a Swedish organisation or higher education institution, or at an organisation in another country.
• You must be employed by the Swedish organisation that is the administrating organisation for the grant.

Parallel Application in Forte's Annual Call for Project Grants

• You may not be the main applicant for this call if you are also applying for funding in Forte's annual call for project grants.
• You can apply for funding under this call and simultaneously be a participating researcher in an application in the project grant call.

Reporting Back on Previous Contributions

• You must have submitted a final report on previously awarded grants from Forte within the set time.
• This applies only to grants where the time for final reporting has passed. Extensions of the availability period are considered.

Before starting your application, ensure the following conditions are met:

• You have created a personal account in the Prisma application system.
• Your CV and publication information are stored in your personal account.
• The administrating organisation for the grant has an organisation account in Prisma and has been approved as an administrating organisation with Forte.
• If you have a Swedish doctoral degree, validate it in Prisma by retrieving information about your degree from Ladok.
