π’ About King Baudouin Foundation - Ernest Solvay Fund
The Ernest Solvay Fund supports initiatives in Belgium and other countries where Solvay operates. The fund focuses on three areas aligned with the companyβs philanthropic policy:
- STEM Education: Science (primarily Chemistry, Physics, and Earth Sciences), Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. Digital education is also included.
- Planet Progress: Initiatives related to biodiversity, energy transition, and the protection and improvement of air and water quality.
- Better Life: Projects aimed at improving the physical, psychosocial, and financial security of communities around Solvay.
π° Benefits
- Funding up to β¬10,000 will be provided to eligible projects.
β Eligibility Criteria
Open to any organization implementing a non-commercial project that meets one or more of the following criteria:
- Promotes and encourages the choice of science and technology studies (STEM) among young people. This includes sciences (chemistry, physics, earth sciences), technology, engineering, mathematics, and digital education.
- Works on biodiversity, energy transition, and the protection and improvement of air and water quality to support the planet.
- Supports the physical, psychosocial, and financial security of communities around Solvay, aiming to improve their quality of life (e.g., school projects for sick children, initiatives for financial literacy, etc.).
Additional Requirement:
- Projects must be implemented within a radius of 100 km of an industrial, R&I, or administrative site of Solvay. Commercial sites are not eligible.
