π About Echidna Global Scholars Visiting Fellowship
During the six-month fellowship, scholars will:

π Benefits of Echidna Global Scholars Visiting Fellowship
Selected applicants will receive:
- Stipend: $26,500 USD to support living costs during the pre-residency and residency periods (subject to U.S. tax withholding and reporting).
- Coverage for:
- Visa process costs.
- Single-occupancy housing for the 4-month residency period.
- Round-trip expenses.
- Limited health insurance plan.
β Eligibility Criteria
Echidna Global Scholars are mid-career leaders with a demonstrated commitment to improving education and life outcomes for girls, young women, and gender non-conforming individuals in the Global South.
Specific Requirements:
- Substantial experience in, ties to, and a clear intent to return to a country in the Global South.
- Background in education, development, public policy, economics, or related social sciences/humanities; a Masterβs degree (or higher) is required.
- 10+ years of professional experience in research/academia, nongovernmental, community, or civil society organizations, or government.
- Intimate understanding of education development issues and gender.
- Ability to collaborate, openness to feedback, and capacity to learn with speed and flexibility.
- Proficiency in English.
