Opportunity Overview

The British Chambers of Commerce (BCC), in partnership with the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI), offers a fully funded scholarship for a home fee student to study Urban Regeneration MSc or Spatial Planning MSc at UCL for the 2025-26 academic year.

📖 About the Scholarship

The scholarship is designed to support students from underrepresented backgrounds in The Bartlett, enabling them to pursue postgraduate studies. This initiative aims to provide opportunities for individuals who may not have been able to afford postgraduate education, while also boosting planning services.

The scholarship is available for the RTPI fully-accredited route of the Urban Regeneration MSc or Spatial Planning MSc programs.

✅ Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for this scholarship, candidates must:

Be UK domiciled with home fee status.
Have an offer of admission to the Urban Regeneration MSc or Spatial Planning MSc for full-time study in 2025-26.
Not have completed a master’s degree (including integrated master’s degrees) or PhD at UCL or any other institution previously.

Additional Criteria

Candidates must also meet at least one of the following criteria:

Be in financial need as assessed by UCL.
Be from a Black, Asian, or Minority Ethnic background.
Be from a Gypsy, Roma, or Traveller community.
Have a disability.
Be a care leaver.
Have care responsibilities.
Be the first generation in their family to attend university at the postgraduate level.

📝 Application Process

Write a short statement (maximum 350 words) explaining:
- Why you believe you should receive the BCC scholarship.
- The difference it would make to you.
- A brief statement of your financial need.
Upload the statement with your application for admission to the program.
