BBPA Black Men in Business
A 6-week program designed to support Black men in business across five focused business streams. This initiative aims to empower up to 500 small business and/or early-stage founders through hands-on training, community engagement, and an opportunity to receive up to $10,000 in non-dilutive funding.
π About BBPA Black Men in Business
The program leverages industry experts and experienced entrepreneurs to meet Black business owners where they are. It combines coaching, education, and community engagement to drive business results for an underserved yet high-potential segment of the business community across Canada.
Key Features:
- Duration: 6 weeks
- Workshops: Six 60-90 minute online workshops
- Pitch Competition: Public live virtual pitch competition
- Follow-Up Support: 3-month trailing series of office hours to immerse founders into the broader Canadian business ecosystem

β Eligibility Criteria
The program is designed for Black men in business who meet the following requirements:
- Business Registration: Founder or owner of a small business registered in Canada.
- Time Commitment: Ability to commit to a minimum of two hours of programming per week.
- Business Category: Operating in one of the following five categories:
- Technology
- Consumer Goods
- Food & Hospitality
- Creative Business
- Business Services
