The Arab Fund for Arts and Culture (AFAC) is currently accepting applications for its Cinema Grant Program 2026. This program provides financial support to Arab filmmakers working on feature, short, and medium-length films across all major filmmaking stages, including development, production, and post-production.

π° Benefits of AFAC's Cinema Grant Program
The program offers the following funding opportunities:
- Feature-length films:
- Up to USD 10,000 for development grants
- Up to USD 50,000 for production grants
- Up to USD 25,000 for post-production grants
- Short and medium-length films:
- Up to USD 20,000 for production grants
- Up to USD 10,000 for post-production grants
β Eligibility Criteria
- Open to Arab directors and producers living in the Arab region or the diaspora.
- A non-Arab producer can apply if the film director is Arab.
- Film projects applying for production and post-production grants are highly recommended to have producers attached.
- Applications are accepted regardless of age, years of experience, country of residence, ethnicity, gender, or religion.
- A film producer can apply with a maximum of two projects per category per cycle, provided the two projects are not attached to the same director.
π« Ineligible Candidates
AFAC will not consider applications submitted by:
- Members of the AFAC board of trustees, their business partners, or family members.
- AFAC staff members, their business partners, or family members.
- Members of the current yearβs reader and juror committees.
- Applicants with a current open grant.
- A director who already has an open grant from AFAC (regardless of whether the contract is in their name or the producerβs name).
- Recipients of grants in two consecutive years will not be eligible to apply for the next two consecutive years. For example, if you received a grant in 2021 and another one in 2022, you will only be eligible to re-apply in 2025.
- Film producers who have two open grants cannot apply before completing one of the projects.
- Grantees who have received two grants for the same film project cannot apply for post-production.

- Applications are accepted only through the online forms.
- Applications submitted via regular mail or email will not be considered.
- Applicants will receive a confirmation email once their application has been successfully submitted.
- Ensure your application is complete with all the requested supporting materials before submitting it. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
- It is recommended to read the full application form before applying.
- Deadline: 19 June 2026, at 5:00 PM +3 GMT (Beirut time).
