The Accelerate Africa Startup Program is designed to support Africa’s bold and visionary founders in the earliest stages of building global businesses that solve the continent's biggest challenges.

• The program provides hands-on operating experience in Africa through a team of advisors and visiting partners.
• Over the past decade, the program has mentored startups, including 25+ that have been admitted to global accelerators.

Participants of the Accelerate Africa Startup Program will enjoy the following benefits:

• 1:1 support from advisors who have built, advised, invested in, and exited multiple successful businesses in Africa.
• Tailored workshops across five core areas, coaching sessions from top advisors, and tech, legal, and finance office hours.
• Build a community with other founders facing similar challenges, leveraging each other as a network of support.
• Unlike most accelerators, the program does not offer funding or take equity upon admittance.
• Optional investment opportunities:
  • Accelerate Africa Fund offers investment at the end of the program.
  • Future Africa Fund may provide pre-seed or seed-stage funding of $250,000 - $500,000, following standard investment processes including due diligence and IC vote.

✅ Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the program, applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Open to startups from Africa.
• Applicants must have a co-founder to join the program. A balanced team, preferably including a female founder, is encouraged.

• The program is designed to meet your needs as a founder in Africa, whether it be workshops across our 5 core areas, coaching sessions from our top advisors, or tech, legal, and finance office hours. You build community with other founders facing similar challenges, leveraging each other as a network of support as you build your business.
• Finally, unlike most accelerators, we do not offer funding or take equity upon admittance. Our Accelerate Africa fund offers an optional investment to all founders at the end of the program. Further, our fund Future Africa may invest a pre-seed or seed stage check of $250,000 - $500,000 after the program, following our standard investment process including due diligence and an IC vote.
