β Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Must have completed their first year of PhD studies at the time of application.
- Majors in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, System Architecture, Electrical Engineering, or a related area.
- Actively engaged in research as part of their PhD thesis.
- Enrolled as a full-time active PhD student during the 2026-2027 academic year (9 months).
- Must not graduate before May/June 2027.
- Available to complete an in-person summer internship prior to the fellowship year.
- Must not be an immediate family member of a current NVIDIA employee.
- The award will be administered through the student's university, and payment will be made to the university, not directly to the student.

Proposals will be evaluated based on the following:
Student Quality
- Letters of recommendation.
- Academic performance (GPA) and achievements.
Research Quality
- Research results to date.
- Research proposal for the fellowship.
- Publication track record.
Relevance to NVIDIA
- Connection to NVIDIAβs primary research domains.
- Potential influence on the design, performance, or use of future GPUs.

Required Documents:
- Research summary/thesis proposal (up to 2 pages, plus bibliography).
- Resume/Curriculum Vitae (CV) including contact information.
- Professor nomination letters:
- Minimum of 2 letters (must include one from the thesis advisor).
- Maximum of 3 letters (can include non-professor recommendations).
- Confirmation of availability for an in-person summer internship.
