This study investigates the positioning of youth in contemporary environmental governance, focusing on how the subject category of "youth" is constructed in public discourse and its implications for political recognition. It examines the emergence of Greta Thunberg as a voice for youth climate activists and analyzes selected media materials related to international political events. The research addresses questions of recognition, discourse structure, and legitimacy to illuminate the dynamics shaping youth's role in environmental policy and governance.
