This study examines online child trafficking in Thailand, focusing on how the communication for development (C4D) approach can prevent these crimes. It reviews literature on online child trafficking and C4D, and interviews government officials and NGO representatives. Findings reveal traffickers deceive children through unregulated online channels. The Thai government collaborates with NGOs using C4D to reach children in safe online spaces. The paper argues C4D is helpful for raising public awareness and that a 'C4D Plus' approach, involving labor groups, may be particularly effective.
