This study evaluates the effectiveness of a beggar rehabilitation program in Khulna City Corporation (KCC), Bangladesh, using a non-equivalent group design and instrumental variable regression. The results indicate that the program had no significant impact on the socioeconomic wellbeing (earnings, expenditure, food security, personal wellbeing) or begging motivation of beneficiaries. The study concludes with recommendations for improved monitoring and evaluation of such interventions.
