This paper explores the role of digital agriculture in transforming rural areas into smart villages. It examines the challenges faced by rural communities, including limited access to healthcare, education, and economic opportunities, and proposes a smart village model leveraging digital agriculture applications in precise irrigation, crop disease/pest detection, soil fertility analysis, and weed management. The authors review existing smart village models and provide examples from various countries, highlighting the potential of digital agriculture to improve agricultural production, resource efficiency, and overall quality of life in rural areas.
