This paper investigates the EU Code of Conduct on Agricultural Data Sharing by Contractual Agreement (EUCC), a voluntary initiative aiming to clarify data sharing in the agri-food sector. Through six workshops across Europe with 89 stakeholders, the authors assessed the EUCC's reception, implementation, and future relevance, particularly in light of the EU Data Act. Findings reveal the EUCC's continued importance but highlight the need for updates to align with the Data Act, including providing practical examples, model contractual terms, clarifying GDPR concepts, developing an enforcement framework, and improving interoperability and trust.
