Abstract
Plant phenotyping data is often heterogeneous, poorly documented, and difficult to reuse. This paper examines the benefits and struggles of making and reusing FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) data in plant phenotyping, using genotype by environment and QTL by environment interactions for developmental traits in potato as a case study. The authors re-implemented a meta-analysis using FAIR data infrastructures, reporting challenges and potential for reusability and reproducibility, using metadata standards such as MIAPPE.
