This in vitro study investigated how changes in the chemical composition of calcium silicate and epoxy sealers affect their resistance to gutta-percha cone removal during a pull-out test. Five groups were tested: AH Plus, BJM RCS, Total Fill BC, AH Plus Bioceramic, and a control group with gutta-percha only. Results showed significantly higher force was needed to remove or rupture the gutta-percha cone in all sealer groups compared to the AH Plus Bioceramic group. All cones in the AH Plus Bioceramic group were removed completely. The study concludes that adding macromolecules to epoxy sealers doesn't impact pull-out resistance, while reducing tri- and di-calcium silicate and increasing zirconium oxide significantly decreases this resistance.
