Abstract
This research investigates the link between internet use and externalizing problem behaviors in 1155 Chinese early adolescents (ages 11-14). Findings reveal a positive correlation between internet use and externalizing behaviors. Self-education expectations and peer relationships mediate this link, with internet use indirectly influencing behaviors through these mediating factors. The study also finds significant gender and geographical location differences, with greater negative impacts observed in males and rural areas.
