This twelve-month follow-up of a randomized controlled trial evaluated the Supporting Weight Management during COVID-19 (SWIM-C) intervention, a web-based, ACT-based, guided self-help program for adults with overweight or obesity. While the intervention did not demonstrate a significant effect on weight change, it showed improvements in eating behaviors (reduced uncontrolled and emotional eating), experiential avoidance, and physical activity compared to a standard advice group. Further refinement of the intervention is needed to achieve meaningful weight loss.
