Abstract
This study analyzes Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH) research projects funded under the European Union's Sixth Framework Programme (FP6, 2002–2006). It examines project characteristics, funding support acknowledgements in publications, and scholarly outputs, particularly journal articles indexed in Scopus. The findings reveal that most funded projects were in economics and political science, reflecting FP6's focus on economic development and European integration. Research teams exhibited high levels of international collaboration, yet this didn't translate to numerous co-authored articles. The study also highlights the long-term impact of SSH funding and the challenges of retrieving research outputs due to inconsistencies in Scopus's funding information.
