Abstract
The study investigates the functional humoral response induced by a plant-derived Coronavirus-like particle (CoVLP) COVID-19 vaccine candidate, with and without AS03 adjuvant. AS03-adjuvanted CoVLP induced robust and durable SARS-CoV-2 specific humoral immunity, characterized by strong IgG1 antibody responses, potent FcγR binding, and antibody effector function. FcγR2A-receptor binding and antibody-mediated effector functions like opsonophagocytosis remained detectable for at least six months, even as neutralizing antibody titers waned.
