Abstract
This study examines the influence of social media on learning and education within higher education institutions in Saudi Arabia. Using the e-learning acceptance model (e-LAM), the research identifies variables that impact students’ intentions to utilize social media for educational purposes. A survey of 369 undergraduates across various programs was analyzed using structural equation modeling to test relationships among performance, effort, communication functionality (COM), and self. Results indicate that intentions to adopt social media are significantly related to performance and self (supporting H3 and H4), while COM and effort do not significantly predict intention (rejecting H1 and H2).
