Revealing building operating carbon dynamics for multiple cities
W. Yap, A. N. Wu, et al.
Cities chasing carbon neutrality often lack insight into how buildings and their surroundings drive emissions. We introduce a generalizable open science framework that combines building energy-consumption data, multi-modal geospatial inputs and graph deep learning to quantify operating emissions and their links to urban form and socio-economic factors across five diverse cities, explaining 78.4% of emission variation.
