Abstract
The Russian invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022, significantly impacted global well-being. A longitudinal experience-sampling study across 17 European countries (1,341 participants, 44,894 assessments) revealed a substantial well-being decline on the invasion day. Recovery varied based on individual personality traits, with individuals low in trait Stability showing minimal recovery. Well-being correlated negatively with war salience on social media. The study highlights the psychological consequences of the Russo-Ukrainian war.
