Abstract
Remote state preparation (RSP) is a crucial process in quantum networks, allowing one node to prepare the state of another remotely. While quantum discord is necessary for RSP, it doesn't guarantee that a practical RSP implementation surpasses classical methods. This paper introduces and experimentally tests 'RSP capability,' a quantum resource that validates all static and dynamic elements needed for genuine quantum networks where RSP outperforms classical emulation. Experiments measure RSP capability, demonstrating the transition between classical and nonclassical RSP based on photon-pair quality. Results show quantum discord doesn't confirm nonclassical RSP, but RSP capability does, revealing quantum advantages in networked RSP.
