This paper presents the first experimental observation of a reentrant localization transition in a photonic SSH lattice with random-dimer disorder. By adjusting synthetic potentials, the researchers observed that certain eigenstates exhibited extended behavior following an initial localization transition as disorder increased. This reentrant phenomenon was verified using the normalized participation ratio, enriching the understanding of transport in disordered media and highlighting the potential of integrated photonics for simulating complex condensed matter physics.
