This study investigates obesogenic eating behaviors in German children and adolescents (ages 10 and 15) and their association with dietary intake. Using data from the GINIplus and LISA birth cohort studies, self-reported eating behaviors (external eating, emotional eating, dietary restraint) and dietary intake were analyzed. Results showed low levels of obesogenic eating behaviors overall, with some associations between specific behaviors and dietary components, primarily in adolescent females. The findings suggest a complex relationship between eating behaviors and dietary habits, influenced by factors like age, sex, and BMI.
