This article conducts a focused literature review to examine the potential pitfalls of ChatGPT and similar AI tools at individual, organizational, and societal levels, and explores the role of a multi-stakeholder responsible research and innovation (RRI) framework in guiding their sustainable development and utilization. The review highlights risks such as devaluation of relationships, unemployment, privacy concerns, bias, misinformation, and digital inequities. A proposed multi-stakeholder RRI framework aims to empower stakeholders to proactively address AI's ethical, social, and environmental implications.
