Abstract
This paper presents a method for optimizing the movement of a robotic arm to minimize energy consumption and operation time. The researchers used particle swarm optimization (PSO) to find optimal movement parameters (type, speed, acceleration) for a given trajectory. Experiments with a UR5 robotic arm showed a 49% improvement in efficiency compared to a random velocity selection.
