Abstract
This study investigated the correlation between microbiome composition, transcriptome, and insecticide resistance in different geographic strains of the brown planthopper (*Nilaparvata lugens*). The abundance of core bacterial symbionts correlated significantly with the expression of host detoxifying genes, particularly *NICYP6ER1*, linked to insecticide resistance. Environmental factors (temperature, precipitation, latitude, longitude) predicted symbiont abundances and correlated with insecticide susceptibility. These findings highlight the role of microbiome-environment-host interactions in insecticide susceptibility and suggest potential microbial-based strategies for resistance management.
