Abstract
This paper presents the development of Pt-free single-component light-powered WO₃ micromotors for enhanced photocatalytic degradation of nitroaromatic pollutants in water. These micromotors, synthesized via a scalable hydrothermal method, exhibit fuel-free light-driven motion due to asymmetric light irradiation. The micromotors effectively degrade picric acid (PA) and 4-nitrophenol (4-NP) through close contact facilitated by their self-propulsion. This approach offers a low-cost and sustainable method for water purification.
