Abstract
This study develops the concept of social friction, distinguishing between explicit (institutional, economic, behavioral, migration) and implicit (cultural, cognitive, interpersonal, technological, information) friction. A social friction force model, based on physical theories, is constructed to analyze the emergence and evolution of social friction from a mechanics perspective, offering a new theoretical lens for examining social phenomena.
