Abstract

This paper reports on light helicity detectors based on graphene-CrI3-graphene van der Waals heterostructures. The researchers investigated circularly polarized light-excited current and reflective magnetic circular dichroism (RMCD) under various magnetic fields in both monolayer and multilayer CrI3 devices. The devices exhibited helicity-selective photoresponse behavior determined by CrI3's magnetic state, along with abnormal negative photocurrents at higher bias. The findings reveal the interplay between CrI3's magnetic and optoelectronic properties, paving the way for spin-optoelectronic device development.
