Abstract
This randomized controlled study examined the impact of mediation on conflict resolution in romantic couples. 38 couples discussed a recurring disagreement, either with a mediator or through direct negotiation. Mediation led to a 1.39 times higher agreement rate and greater satisfaction with the discussion's content and process. Skin conductance synchronicity correlated with closeness and relationship quality. These findings suggest mediation's beneficial impact on conflict resolution.
