Abstract

This paper applies graph theory to uncover hidden relationships within the Hebrew Bible. The analysis focuses on texts' interpretations of the otherworld and afterlife. A graph was constructed from 43 relevant texts, revealing three densely connected subgraphs (using the Louvain method). Ranking methods identified influential texts (Proto-Isaiah, Qoheleth, Job, Psalms, Proverbs, 1 Samuel, Ezekiel, Genesis), and key concepts associated with them (e.g., ascension to heaven, Sheol's negative portrayal).
