Abstract
This study explores the rationality of Saudi parents in selecting schools for their children. Semi-structured interviews with parents of children in private schools (K-12) revealed that cultural/religious identity (gender segregation, language preference), accessibility (location, fees), wellbeing, and academic considerations (skills development, staff quality, learning outcomes) significantly influence their choices. The findings highlight the complex interplay of rational and subjective factors in parental decision-making within the Saudi Arabian context.
