Abstract

This study examines factors associated with self-reported severe food reactions, onset age, and changes in sensitization prevalence over time in adults. Data from the European Community Respiratory Health Survey (ECRHS) III (2010-2014) (n=4865) and a subsample with serum IgE testing from ECRHS II (n=1612) were analyzed. Self-reported FHS prevalence was 13.5%. Asthma history and younger onset age were associated with severe reactions. Overall sensitization prevalence did not change over 10 years.
