Abstract
This article presents the experience of using role-playing in six mid-sized cities in southern Chile to evaluate how residents perceive air pollution from wood-burning and debate solutions. Participants, assuming the role of advisors, prioritized mitigation measures and reached consensus. Results show role-playing's potential to promote critical thinking and assist policymakers in designing more effective and fair action plans.
