This study investigated the efficacy of phage therapy in clearing pan-resistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa infections in vivo. A phage cocktail demonstrated strong therapeutic potential, clearing infections from the lung, kidneys, and spleen. Resistance developed in the liver due to limited phage adsorption, but this resistance surprisingly led to re-sensitization to various antibiotics. Phage steering, using the cocktail to re-sensitize bacteria, effectively cleared infections from all organs.
