Abstract
This article examines a fashion exhibition at a heritage museum on a historic site through the lens of fashion museology. It focuses on how the interplay between fashionable clothing, audience bodies, and the heritage space creates a hybrid space where bodily movement articulates the displayed clothing. The authors consider the heritage space a performative event and explore how museums can leverage the affective interrelationship within the designed space to enhance the exhibition experience. Case studies illuminate the often-overlooked haptic experience and spatial storytelling in fashion exhibitions, showcasing how site-specific interaction mediates the body and imbues displayed clothing with meaning.
