This study uses Ideological Discourse Analysis (IDA) to examine the online anti-media sentiment fueled by Greece's "Stay at Home" Campaign (or "Petsas' list")—a media support fund during the COVID-19 pandemic. Analyzing 1623 Greek #Petsas_list (#Λιστα_Πετσα) tweets, the research reveals how financial support, when used controversially and non-transparently, can undermine media independence and foster anti-media sentiment. The findings highlight the campaign's perception as a government manipulation effort and contribute to the literature on mass media industry issues globally, including the decline in media freedom.
