Abstract
This field experiment in Sweden, Norway, and Denmark investigates ethnic discrimination in women's amateur soccer. Researchers contacted soccer coaches via email using native and foreign-sounding names to request trial practices. The results show statistically significant discrimination only in Sweden, where the likelihood of rejection increased with cultural distance. No significant gender differences in discriminatory behavior were found among coaches.
