This study examines the relationship between technological and innovative factors and entrepreneurial density in Euro area countries, focusing on self-employed entrepreneurs. Using panel data from 2009-2020, the results indicate that increased industrial robot density positively correlates with entrepreneurial opportunities, while private sector R&D investment shows a negative correlation. Public R&D investment and employment in science and technology sectors were not significantly related to entrepreneurial activity. The findings suggest policy implications for promoting entrepreneurship, such as training and fostering digital innovation and AI, as well as incentivizing intrapreneurship within R&D-intensive companies.
