This study investigates the challenges faced by students in a South African university transitioning from face-to-face to online learning due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It explores the digital divide as a major barrier to effective e-learning and proposes alternative pathways to overcome these challenges, focusing on a connectivism learning framework.
