Abstract
This paper investigates the unexpected formation of a periodic pattern of reversed magnetic domains from chaotic magnetisation dynamics at very short time scales. The researchers demonstrate that this pattern arises from the phase-synchronisation of magnon-polaron quasiparticles, driven by strong coupling of magnetic and elastic modes. This reveals a novel mechanism of magnetisation reversal driven by coherent packets of short-wavelength magnetoelastic waves.
