This study investigates the impact of climate change and nutrient fluctuations on plankton community interactions in ten Swiss lakes using an equation-free modeling approach. The research shows that the number and strength of plankton interactions respond nonlinearly to water temperature and phosphorus levels. Warming generally reduces network interactions, especially under high phosphate levels, shifting trophic control from top-down to bottom-up. Small grazers and cyanobacteria are identified as sensitive indicators of these changes.
