Abstract
This paper investigates design principles for efficient photoelectrodes in solar rechargeable redox flow cells. The authors address the limitation of poor redox kinetics in current photoelectrodes by focusing on band alignment design and surface coverage control. They develop a single-photon photo-charging device achieving over 9.4% solar-to-chemical conversion efficiency, providing design principles for optimizing conversion efficiency in solar-rechargeable redox flow cells.
