Abstract
This study assessed the psychological impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and lockdown on a representative sample of 6700 Italian individuals. Higher depressive symptoms were observed in females, younger adults, those with professional uncertainty, and lower socioeconomic status. Positive correlations were also found with living alone, inability to leave home for work, and having a family member with COVID-19. Region of residence was not a significant predictor.
